Unlike many full-service movers (and even other moving brokers), New Frontier offers full-fledged moving estimates both over the phone and in your home.
Since each estimate type has its pros and cons, we like how New Frontier gives you the option to choose the type of estimate that best fits your moving needs.
Over-the-phone estimates have a few distinct benefits over in-home estimates—the first being the cost savings they can provide.
Since New Frontier doesn’t have to pay someone to travel to your home for an over-the-phone estimate, it can pass along the cost savings to you.
Along with saving you money, scheduling an over-the-phone estimate can save you a lot of time, too. When you schedule an in-home estimate, you often have to take time off of work to walk the moving consultant through your home so they can evaluate your moving needs.
An over-the-phone estimate, on the other hand, can be taken care of during your lunch break at work or whenever else you have a bit of free time.
In-home moving estimates certainly have their advantages, too. During an over-the-phone estimate, it can be difficult to remember everything in your home that you need to move unless you’re walking from room to room during the call.
If you choose to have an in-home estimate, however, you won’t have to remember all of the details of each room’s contents because your moving consultant will be able to see for themselves—often improving the accuracy of your moving inventory, and, therefore, your moving estimate.
New Frontier can conduct your in-home estimate one of two ways. It can either send a representative to your home to perform a walkthrough and take your inventory, or you can have a web-based in-home estimate.
What’s a web-based in-home estimate, you ask? Put simply, it’s a video conference call through a mobile app. It operates much like an over-the-phone estimate would if you took the call at home, but with the added benefit of your New Frontier representative being able to see your belongings as you walk from room to room.
